Project description

Lightweight fire protection across 950 m²

At Barla Food in Eindhoven, KAMILDAK installed AllShield BarrierSheet across approximately 950 m² of commercial roof. The 2.5 mm sheets were delivered on just five pallets, illustrating how little material volume is required to add a non-combustible protective layer to a large roof area.

Designed for practical roof installation

At approximately 3 kg/m², AllShield BarrierSheet adds limited permanent load and can be installed using familiar roofing methods. Its low thickness also allows passive fire protection to be incorporated without substantially increasing the overall roof build-up.

For this project, AllShield BarrierSheet was selected to provide a non-combustible separation layer beneath the waterproofing membrane while keeping installation and added roof load practical for the roofing contractor.

The Barla Food project demonstrates how passive fire protection can be integrated into a commercial roof without relying on a heavy protective board or substantially increasing the roof build-up.

BarrierSheets protect your roof by denying fires access to combustible materials.
